Paradigme Optique

Paradigme Optique is a virtual space inspired by the illustrations of the graphic design studio A droite de la main gauche as well as self-hypnosis sessions, a geometric architectural ensemble finding inspiration in optical art, the artworks found there are the results of artists Julien Lomet and Patrick Lancelot Bonvarlet art. The different exhibition rooms take up the fictional architectures of Patrick Lancelot. A graphic artwork thus becomes three-dimensional and immersive. Playing with the question of meta-environments, Julien Lomet wanted to create a dreamlike, spatial, weightless universe in which the photographs, illustrations and videos of the duo can be discovered.

Julien Lomet

Julien Lomet is a french artist-researcher working on perception and creation with new technologies. For the past for years, he has been creating immersive and interactive artworks, questioning the relationship between 19th century painting and immersive technologies. He is currently working on meta-environments and the involvement of the viewer-creator on interactive landscape. In parallel, Julien practices photography, taking up the major themes of Dutch still lifes and portraits, playing with the ambiguity between painting and photography. Rich in a practice of two cultures from art history, Renaissance and Contemporary, his philosophy is a permanent mix of several aesthetics around perception and empathy towards artwork.
