The virus outbreak has made it impossible to display interaction art on a large scale. Special equipment such as Kinect and large projectors were good partners for us interaction engineers, but they are not working now. With the spread of viruses, people all over the world are using webcams for meetings and chatting with friends. The concept of this work is to look into "another world" by holding both hands over the webcam. In "another world", people are repeatedly connected and separated, forming a kind of community.
Chihiro Sakoda works as an interaction engineer in Tokyo, Japan. She is also involved in organizing "Processing Community Day Japan", a Japanese Processing community. She writes articles on Processing and p5.js for beginners, hold workshops, and publishes a self-published magazine.
